TP2 says I have 1 Text Message but I dont?? How do I clear notification or reset to 0

This is the 3rd time it has happened...the other times I did a hard reset and reloaded all my info via myphone.microsoft.com. But there has got to be an easier way to clear this without having to hard reset?

I think I know what caused it...I was sending a text out then hit send but before the text I sent loaded into screen I exited to home page. It then showed that text I sent to somebody else as incoming from my own phone#. I deleted it and it still showed I had 1 text message. I tried sending myself another text and deleting that and still showing I have 1 text.

have you tried deleting all the text messages from your phone? I would use MyPhone to archive them, then just sync again and it will delete them from the phone. If that doesnt work, I'm pretty sure it's a reg value tha gets stuck is what causes it... I'll see if I can find the reg key... Or use the "Search" function on the forum here, as this question gets asked prolly once or twice/week.

Here, this worked when the same thing happened to my girlfriends TP2. It won't let me copy it up as a exe file so change the extention from txt to exe and then run it on your SC card. Let me know if it works for you too.

i tried changing it to .exe but didnt work... I got exe file though from previous post..
