How to turn off vibration on touchscreen keyboard wm6.5

After updating to wm6.5 when it released, using the touchscreen keyboard has been annoying with the vibration. Is there a way to turn this off?

I've tried through settings and a couple suggestions through the registry with no pocitive results.

I'm glad the tp2 has a real keyboard or I'd be annoyed. I'd like to use the touchscreen keyboard sometimes for quick, short messages..but not if it keeps vibrating.

Thanks

Re: How to turn off vibration on touchscreen keyboard wm6.5

I was stymied by this since I use the touchresponse cab for system-wide vibration feedback and the "extra" vibration from the soft keyboard was driving me nuts. I also don't use TF3D, which was the core of my issue. If you don't want to dig around the registry, you have to be running TF3D. Then it is under settings->all settings, inside one of the categories. Even though I just did this 2 days ago I can't recall exactly which category it is under, but it is under "all settings" somewhere (sorry!). If you're really stuck and no one else knows, I'll turn TF3D back on and find it.

Try scrolling to the settings tab... Then click on Personalize... Then click on vibration...Then uncheck the box.

Re: How to turn off vibration on touchscreen keyboard wm6.5

There are 4 things I do to kill all keyboard vibrations.

First is the one you've tried (through settings/personalize/vibrate)

Next is changing the settings for text input (settings/locale & text/text input/turn vibarte off). This turns off the keyboard while typing text. However, calculator and the dial pad still vibrate, so I turn those off as well with two are registry edits.

The first is you open the editor and go to HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/CALULATOR/VIBRATE (CHANGE THAT FROM 1 TO 0)
the next is HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/PHONE/PHONEEXTENDEDSETTINGS/ they there will be a keypadvibration. Change that from 1 to 0.

Good luck

Thanks, but this has been done already and it still vibrates when using touchscreen keyboard on emails, sms, etc.
