RAM Leakage in WM6.5 WHY?

Why can't anyone fix the RAM leakage with WM6.5?? Why?? There's no custom rom that can do it. Maybe lessen it, but not eliminate it? What makes it so hard?

I was under the impression that a couple android phones had far worse memory leakage than any windows phone. Like the Hero had a problem that would eat ram, but even after a reset the ram was still missing or something like that.I could be wrong, but i think i remember seeing a youtube video on it.

Re: RAM Leakage in WM6.5 WHY?

ok go easy on me.. but is RAM leakage described as the following ?

soft reset and free RAM = 92mb. . then after a few hours, it drops down to, say 72mb ? with no programs running in the background ?

Just asking because I've never seen a definition or description.

Thanks

I use an app called htcaddicts - cleanRAM to free up RAM from time to time and it works really well for me. For more information about cleanRAM, you may find it at the following link:

Yes.

Within 6 hours I'm usually down to 30MB remaining, with Opera and Mail running in the background. I crash almost every night. Anyone else have it that bad?

Edit: I tried the RAM cleaner that is baked into one of the ROMs; I forgot the name. It recovered about 3MB for me, which I decided wasn't enough to warrant using something like that. Turning off Sense helps, but I do sort of like it now as of v2.5.

Re: RAM Leakage in WM6.5 WHY?

clean ram also has clean ram config where you can schedule it to clean at certain intervals. instead of having to run 4 times in a row. you can also determine what kind of cleaning you want, slow to fast.

im running my personal rom now and went from 101 at first boot to 75 overnight (not charging) ran clean ram, and went to 80 after running it... so its worth a shot..
