Please don't laught but ...

I need clarification regarding: 1) Reboot 2) Soft Reset 3) Hard Reset I know what is a soft reset and a hard reset from the guide book. But when installing a software and it says to reboot device, does it mean a) switch the power button off or b) pull out the stylus, and do a soft reset

Re: Please don't laught but ...

reboot means simply restarting the device. either power off the phone and turn it back on or just hit the reset button. both will work fine.

Re: Please don't laught but ...

When cabs/apps/software tells you that it needs to reboot, it will reboot. Rebooting is powering down and back up, either by pressing the Power button or the soft reset button underneath the battery cover. A hard reset is a key sequence you press to wipe the device(send+end keys together then power, hold all 3 until the screen states hard-reset press vol up), which can also be done through the windows software in settings/clear storage. Clear storage is slated/stated to do more(in depth) as far as returning the device to original/core programming without losing the device programming.

1 and 2 are the same thing. There is plenty of documentation on Hard Resets

Question Answered, Case Closed.
