How do you like the TP2 after couple months?

How do you like the TP2 after couple months? I’ve had mines since October, so far the quality of the hardware seems to be much more durable than the previous TP2. The stock ROM is also better.

What I don’t like is that it’s not faster than my 1 year old TP1. Another thing that is starting to bother me is the actual WinMo. Its like I’m bored of WinMo since I’ve had 6.5 since last Spring on the TP1. I don’t understand why M$ is so slow while Android is adding new stuff all the time. Than by the time WinMo 7 comes out (if ever), it won’t even run on the TP2. Thats just not right since the phone isn't that old.

Re: How do you like the TP2 after couple months?

its one of the best phones I've ever used for web surfing. It's got a learning curve to the customizing, and I'm glad ppcgeeks is here to take care of most of that for me

working in retail, I've used the Iphone, Moment, Hero, Pre, Pixi, EpicFail Instinct, G1, blackjacks and blackberries, and we'll probably have the Nexus phone when that hits the street. I didn't dislike all of those phones, but they each had a feature that I wish was all on one phone. I was going to get the Nokia N900, as i'm competent with linux, however, tmobile lacks 3g where I live. then my coworker showed me the TP2. $370 and a ebay bid later, it was mine.

my only, only complaint is I wish it was faster, and I'm always trying to eek more speed out of it, but thats for gaming, not everyday use. I knew before buying the phone that it wouldn't be optimal for some of them, but it does the nes/atari games admirably, which is most of what I cared about.

Umm...I have it for eyecandy equally as much as I do for functionality.

I love my TP2. It is one of the best devices I have ever owned. And the customization in this community is amazing. There are plenty of options for ROM's, themes, sliders, clocks, software, tweaks, etc.

I miss the simplicity of the Blackberry and the faster interface but as another user has already said its been a total new learning curve as far as customisation goes. It is really complicated for new users but I'm hopefully getting the hang of it thanks to PPC geeks.

Re: How do you like the TP2 after couple months?

I have mine since september and still love it. If it wasn't for these forums and others winmo would truly suk, 'cause right out of the box they need lots of work, some more than others. That customization is what keeps me interested and coming back. I use the tp2 during the week for the hard kb, switch to my imagio for the playful weekends. Def the best wm phone I've had yet, but verizons 3g everywhere I go is a big plus.

Re: How do you like the TP2 after couple months?

Pretty much the TP2 is a upgraded revision of the TP1...yeah, the inards are the same except for the hybrid 7600a processor (CDMA/GSM) but this phone seems to be stable and faster is ways over the TP1. The added screen size and the screen tilt was a nice touch added to the phone. I personally think HTC released this phone due to the lackluster performace and reliability of the TP1 and to cure the craves of old TP1 users till the HTC HD2 comes out. Winmo is as good as it gets in terms of OS's. The Touchflo/Sense UI is just a added touch to the "Business" class PDA phone the TP2 is. The phone wasn't meant to be any sort of eyecandy. It's a phone for the professional type users...clean and sleek. I like to have phones that give me options (Wifi, Word, Email, txting etc). I used to have a blackberry and I didn't like the clunkyness of the OS...to many random things to worry about...Winmo is easy to use...streamline. This phone have everything I want.....plus some added stuff that is nice to have...

All in all I'm glad to have this phone....Being a previous owner of a TP1, this is 110% better.

Which emulator do you use for NES?

Re: How do you like the TP2 after couple months?

I still love this phone but...

I am still disappointed about 3.2 mp camera..
And i still miss my flashlight.

I will admit that i have yet to get behind a ROM that i love more than stock ROM. I guess im just mod-ed(burned) out from flashing my TPRO. Haven't really added to many programs. I guess i just quit using it as a toy and more of a phone.
