Sprint Port Out Prevention (PO) Team

Anyone heard of this department? I was going to leave Sprint but I received an email saying that my issue has been received by the Sprint Port Out Prevention Team and the representative assigned to work this issue will be e-mailing their contact information within 48 hours. It has been 3 days and I have not heard from anybody. Anyone has dealt with team before? Do they typically get back to you late? What's the strategy to negotiate with them? Thanks.

I haven't heard of them myself, but they're definitely not helping change your mind by not getting back to you in a timely manner :P

Re: Sprint Port Out Prevention (PO) Team

Thomas Wesney

Title and Company:

Account Services Specialist, Port Out Prevention (POP) at Sprint Nextel Corp.

Address:

2001 Edmund Halley Drive
Reston, VA 20191

I don't have a contact number for him yet, but a "port" is to change carriers. So the "Port Out Prevention Team" would be their version of "Customer Retention Specialists". Just some desk jockey who's job is to try to keep you from going to another carrier.
