Another option would be to use cooking oil since its not really conductive. Works for PCs

Just got mine a couple of days ago, and Sprint managed to port my VZW number over in < 1hr...which was pretty cool. Now (with much help from you studs on this board) I've got to learn how to tune this beast up!

Allright, so today, I got caught in a horrible storm. Phone got soaked...
Mind telling me where you get the idea that it was just a LITTLE rain that caused this?
I didn't say a little rain...I said in the rain a little! I understand southern thunderstorms, trust me. But actually, the following posts are more in line with what I was thinking. LET IT DRY OUT! I've had electronics get wet before. I was thinking that there was something about cellphones.

I will try to be more clear in my thoughts...and I am VERY serious about the need to have y'all teach me how to "hotrod" this phone.

I wanna see a water cooling system modified to run on 10w40... It actually may work well once you get some high torque pumps that could handle the oil over water... A leak would suck, But it probably gets great thermal transfer... (Ok back on topic for me)

I like that idea of carrying a ziplock bag with ya for rainy days, Definitely cheaper then $50...

Yea, I definately could have used some patience, but I knew the thing was pretty damn fried right away as it was on through the ordeal. I was a little nervous about popping it out in the storm, and I only realized it was done when I get in a dry spot. I really don't think letting it dry would have solved my problem; the damage had been done in my eyes. Oh well, I'll never know.
