How do you access a server with wifi?

Hello. I had a question for you experts. At my job we all use laptops and access through a linksys router to our server to access our files. Is there anyway I could access it through my mogul?

Re: How do you access a server with wifi?

Yes, It's very easy to do. Just use your wifi to connect to the network. Once you are connected to the network, use remote desktop to access the server. All you need is your server's IP address and domain name as well as your normal user name and password. Remote desktop is a part of the Windows Mobile OS but sprint doesn't include it in their ROMS. I have the cab at home and can post it later or you can Google "RDP-Finster" and probably find it that way.

You can connect through your phone and have access to the server from anywhere you have cell service or connect through the router using wifi. Remote Desktop will need to be enabled on the server and you will need access to the router to open the correct port if not already opened.

What kind of access? Just connect to it over the Internet through the external IP or through WI-FI and the internal IP and use your browser or whatever.

Well either or but I'd prefer the wifi. If I can use my ppc I can do inventory changes out in out warehouse rather than writing them down and coming back to the office.
