Would a new ESN unlock MMS?

I was wondering if anyone here has tried changing their ESN on the Mogul to a phone that supports MMS messaging. I have an old Samsung 920 I could use the ESN from. Would there be any downsides to doing this? Would it help to fix the MMS problems?

we went over this is the NueMMS thread. someone tried it, it didnt work. you're welcome to try it though. We can send MMS with sMMS now, just cant receive.

I have the program on that which I got from a friend, but I can't get it to work. Where's the thread on that? I've tried to search already.
