Is it better to save downloads on the phone or storage card?

I notice it gives you different places to store them. My storage card is 2gb..so i guess it would be better to save it on the card?

If you put ringtones in My Documents folder on the storage card the phone will also see them.

Re: Is it better to save downloads on the phone or storage card?

This is a good question. If I download programs to the storage card instead of the phone, would that elevate available phone memery when running those programs? I ask because I have all my programs currently installed to the device. When none of my programs up, task manager tells me in running at 63%. If I launch Opera, I'm in the 90's% with just that program running.

Re: Is it better to save downloads on the phone or storage card?

i cant see saving anything to the device, other then the apps that need to be on the device, 1 hard reset and there they go. grab a 4 gig or larger card and you can pretty much hard reset in the field and restore everything off the card.
check this out i bought copies of sprite back up , sprite terminator, slingbox mobile, pdanet, spb pocket plus and a few other programs. my brother loved my phone and grabbed one. i cut and pasted my sprite back up file from my card to the desktop and transfred it to his mogul. i ran the back up and wouldnt you know it. every pay for program worked with out incident. only helps if you have a person close enough to you to allow you to use thier back up but thought i woud let people know.
please dont bash me on the licensing thing. my brother like me buys software he likes but he, like me, likes to try them out.
