Flash 10.1 in June!

"As expected, the verbal volleying between Adobe and Apple continues with Adobe again defending its Flash technology. Late Thursday afternoon, Abobe CTO Kevin Lynch posted a brief and pointed response to Steve Jobs’ recent essay which explained the reasons why Apple is turning its back on Flash. The most interesting part of Lynch’s post is the revelation that Adobe plans to roll out Flash 10.1 to Android starting in June. Lynch failed to provide details on which handsets will receive Flash, but we can definitely expect it to hit the DROID, DROID Incredible and Nexus One. Based upon Andy Rubin’s comments earlier this week regarding Froyo, we can also expect that this Flash update will be rolled out as part of the bigger Android 2.2 update. Anyone excited?"

Perfect timing! This is right when the Evo comes out (confirmed by Sprint, thought that really doesnt mean anything at least it is something). Would there even be a need for Skyfire then?

Probably not, but Im sure it wont be long for it to be cooked into ROMS

why not? evo in coming out in june. im pretty sure that by now flash is ready.. they just holding on until this superphone comes out lol

they said adobe is coming in form of an app but in future releases it will be included into the phone already. Just like google maps is available in the marketplace even though it comes installed on most phones. So whether the evo comes with it or not is irrelevant.

correct, so if the evo gets released in may you guys will be waiting like the rest of us

but if the evo gets released in june then more then likely your whole experience with android will include flash, either way all of us on the android team will soon be that much better then the iphone and ipad users.

However, everyone is forgetting we have Sprint. Werent we like the last ones to get the TP2 update? If both the phone and flash are released in Juneish, then hopefully flash by the winter.

However Im sure with the help of the great cooks here, we can get unofficially get flash sooner!

Either way, Sprint won't be in the loop on putting flash on the Evo. If they drag their feet with 2.2, just download the app from the market.
