Exclamation Those who like to go running with their EVO?

I like to go biking/running/walking around the beaches here and I love using my EVO as an "ipod" with pandora. Anyone know of an arm band that will house this phone?

Also know of the best app that will track your milage/statistics via GPS? Preferably a neat one that would upload them to facebook? Thanks!

Look for "My Tracks" on the market wich will upload to google3 maps which you can then share with facebook.

Re: Those who like to go running with their EVO?

When you are listening to Pandora, how do you keep it from pausing while the screen is off? When I turn my screen off, it will play for one or two more songs (could be a period of time) then pause. When I turn the screen back on, it resumes with the next song. BTW, I have background data on.

Thanks

I dont konw what is wrong with your Pandora app but I turn the screen off on my phone and Pandora just keeps playing. I go for long bike rides like this, so its longer then just two songs.

I agree.

However my pandora does have an issue where it will randomly stop playing and hang up requiring me to force close it. It's alot better than it was when I first got my evo since they did that one update, but I wish they would completely fix it

Fanny pack? LOL No thanks

I'll check out those cool programs.

So no news on the armband? It would be great for working out in the gym too.

Re: Those who like to go running with their EVO?

I love using CardioTrainer when I go running and biking. It records your gps data and then overlays it on google maps. It automatically uploads the data to a private web page as well.

It also tells you how far you have gone and how long it took you at specified intervals and will automatically pause when you stop. Great for working out where there are traffic lights and such.

The paid version also allows you to race against your previous times.

I work out with a backpack on so I just put in there, but I'd be interested in trying an armband too.

Also, I work out with pandora running in the background and haven't had any issues with it stopping on me.

Re: Those who like to go running with their EVO?

Give this one a shot? Slimmer than some of the others ive seen and its designed specifically for the EVO. Ive not seen it in person but it looks ok from the site. Give it a shot, let me know!

Would work awesome with Google My Tracks
