MR2 Update is out! 1.17

For those who didnt know or released the "push update from verizon" the MR2 1.17 update is out and you can get it here http://www.pcdphones.com/

I have installed it and tested it. there are no visual changes but the Eris does feel a little faster and snappier.

Where can I check my phone to see what version I'm running on?

Re: MR2 Update is out! 1.17

Just appeared on my wife's Eris tonight , installed but haven't tried phone yet. Sometimes her phone doesn't see the Mobile Network - turning on / off the WiFI brings back the VZW internet - or restarting the phone.

This can be frustrating because sync , GTalk - all are lost / not working & you aren't aware (when it drops the network) until you go to use it (you can miss emails , IM's).

This could be because there's a weak signal where we live (but my Droid doesn't drop the entire connection , sometimes it gets lost, but it comes back, with her Eris it's gone until WiFi is on/off or the reboot) , you can tell when this happens because right away on hers when you pick it up - the 3G / 1X icon is completely missing.

Her Eris has been better at staying active on the mobile network as of late , not sure why - maybe the latest update or performing anotther *228 , just so it's fine (now we were all good until my Droid suddenly has started to lose 100% of it's battery while Power OFF during the night) ...
