activesync always running?

Every time I check the task bar ActiveSync is listed there as a running program. I'm not connected to my computer and I'm not clicking on the program. I keep closing out of it but it will show up again after a minute (I've selected the option where clicking on "x" will close).

Is this normal? I'm just concerned this is using up some RAM.

Re: activesync always running?

It shouldn't show back up after you close it, but it is in your system startup so it will restart everytime you reset.

Re: activesync always running?

Are you syncing with a mail server for push mail? This would make Activesync keep restarting. And seriously, you're worried about RAM on the Diamond?

Well, it will disappear after I click x, but then it will show moments later after clicking through some of the menus.

Isn't that the reason why touchflo is a little slow? Or is it the processor?

Re: activesync always running?

True, but my battery lasts all day and I sync with my Exchange server, so I doubt that ActiveSync is gonna kill it for the OP.

TF3D is (reported by many as) slow because it is a monster... though I think it runs just fine myself.

Re: activesync always running?

The only way I got mine to stop opening on its own was to go to phone settings and turn off Time Synchronization.
