Is it possible to disable volume buttons?

I think sweat from running with my phone has damaged the volume down button.

It randomly turns the volume down until it reaches silent mode and will also automatically scroll down through menus and lists.

I can still control the volume with the touch screen so the buttons are not necessary. Is it possible to disable the volume buttons?

You could use aebuttonplus to assign volume key presses to a dummy program (like name a .txt file dummyprogram.exe) or some other function that doesn't do anything. You can disable all hard buttons if you use a keypad.dll from another device or make a dummy one, but that's probably not too useful . If you know how to edit that dll, you could also probably remove the volume hard key function.
