i just successfully called *2 and asked for PRL upgrade. the computer put me in touch with a sprint rep where I also asked for the PRL upgrade. she didnt ask anything else. She flagged the phone and then told me it was ready. She instructed me to hang up, call *2 again and that the computer would instruct me that it was perfroming the upgrade (which it did). When it says complete, you hang up, and within 10 seconds the phone will do a self soft-reset. pretty easy... although not as easy as verizon. But... I like sprint better than verizon in every other way.

When I know there's a new PRL out I just send ecare a note asking them to flag all my lines. I usually get a repsonse within an hour and then call #2 and do the update. But I'll do almost anything to not have to call Sprint customer care. - sheureka

Just updated my phone with PRL 20229. I had PRL 20223 on it. Worked like a champ! You guys are great! I salute you.

RIght now there is PRL 20230 for Sprint

The PRL is not stored in the CE partition, so flashing a new CE ROM will not have any effect on your PRL. Same goes for a Hard Reset.
