Talking WM6 and a2dp bluetooth gotten working! here is what I did!

Hello,
Well I recently installed the newest cooked rom for WM6 (.6b) and i got the bluetooth a2dp working

I did this exactly.....loaded the rom, installed resco file explorer and registry edittor

went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2 DP\Settings

and made these (make the ones that you don't have as DWORD)
Bitpool 58
MaxSupportedBitPool 128
SampleRate 48000

and i DELETED UseJointStereo and RESET THE KEY TO A "STRING" TYPE then set it to two

soft reset and IT WORKED....also if the soft reset doesn't work, try the a2dpfix....might help but that is exactly what i did to get it to work

it doesn't skip at all and if it does its not from the headphones but from the phone beacuse i check and watch the phone

jointstereo = 1 retains stereo separation in wm6. no need to change to 2. There is a whole other thread on this.

delete bp and msp. add samplerate if you want. you might have to cycle bt after soft reset.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe that setting UseJointStereo as a "string" probably means the device will ignore the setting because it's looking for a DWord, therefore it will default to 0.
Try setting the "string value" for UseJointStereo that you made to "alansupra94".
My guess is you'll still have stereo sound.

for some reason cycling bluetooth, i.e. turning it off from settings --> connections, then back on fixes some skipping problems after a soft reset. As far is JointStereo - try it on 1 with a good stereo song, it retains stereo separation in wm6 - not so in wm5. My theory is that putting it on 2 makes limiting bitpool necessary because 2 is more demanding on the bt connection. You will get more full sound (more bass) by not limiting bitpool. See the two articles posted by sethlo in the other wm6 A2DP thread.

good luck, let me know how it goes.

I don't know if the a2dpfix.cab works in WM6. It controls or uses thread processing in some way, I think it was written by slueth256 and there are detailed threads at xda and maybe here too.
In the main a2dp thread were you've posted before, you can use the program I wrote to do all the registry changes for you with single clicks and entering different values. Try it out, it'll save you some time deleteing and reentering all these registry values. When you're done with it you can delete it through remove programs
also be sure to try UseJointStereo at 0. Also after doing soft resets do cycle the bluetooth. It can't hurt.
