3. At first SPL screen, disconnect device (Device still shows tri-colors).
4. At second SPL screen (which says something like - you need to connection, have 50% battery, etc), connect device (ActiveSync might not show connection, but that's okay)
5. Proceed to third SPL screen and finish (Device switches from tri-color to grey with progress bar and should complete with a restart of the device).
6. To install 6.5.1 from CFay, now simply run that RRU.

Followed these Steps EXACTLY and IT WORKED! THANKS A BUNCH!

Re: Panther_CDMA (treo pro CDMA) Hard-SPL is here now!

ok this is a follow up on my post from earlier. i was having issues with upgrading - Treo Pro SprintPCS/Win 7/WDM - Was having issues when the tri color screen came on and WDM would disconnect and i would have no luck. Tried a bunch of steps that I read on here. This is what worked for me with the HSPL and the 6.5.1 ROM upgrade.
1. First I didn't have to change USB ports or restart laptop
2. right when the SPL tri-color screen came up and WDM would lose connection then i unplugged the usb cord from the phone not from the laptop
3. I would wait a second and plug it back in.
4. After that it was smooth sailing from there.
5. Now I had to do that on both but once I tried that when I got home and had a chance it worked the first time.

Just wanted to say thanks guys for bringing these out and will be donating for your work, everyone needs to donate something if this worked! Keeps these guys going for the Treo's we need more modds and hacks like i had when i owned my HTC phones.

Is their anyway to get the date and time to work in standby?
All I get is a black box floating around the screen.

Thanks,

Kenny

Re: Panther_CDMA (treo pro CDMA) Hard-SPL is here now!

Help, I'm rather new at these thing, but had no trouble flashing...., and installed 6.5 successfully, but now I have to flash back to stock rom for warranty purposes, here is where the trouble began. I was flashing thru micro-sd, everything seemed fine, then it froze by loading, now the phone just display's a loading screen, and refuses to do anything else, I have tried flashing 6.5 again but it does the same thing.

If anyone could help me out it would be most appriciated.

Thanks

Re: Panther_CDMA (treo pro CDMA) Hard-SPL is here now!

Donated thanks!

Two (2) clarification in your steps...

1. Before you run the applications, your steps say to connect the phone via usb, also one of the screens in the program ask you to make sure to connect via usb.. at this point, you must Disconnect/Re-connect the phone or you'll get Error 206 Connection

2. Your steps to show the bootloader was confusing to me.. it should say Press & Hold Camera+Power and then Press & Release the Reset button.

Otherwise... Great job!! thanks!!

Re: Panther_CDMA (treo pro CDMA) Hard-SPL is here now!

I did everything including disconnecting the usb at the beginning and reconnecting it, I got to the verify the ROM update screen... (which doesn't show current image version(its blank) but shows update to 0.36.HSPL) so I push update and it updated 100% on computer and grey window with blue updating bar says 100% on phone... the phone reboots and it is still 6.1 and when I go to do it again I still get. I tried camera+power+soft reset ....

and still:
Windows mobile v6.1.

PANT200 MFG
SPL-0.32.SSPL
CPLD-2

I am running Windows XP

I have a sprint treo pro in California, do I need to unlock it or something? cuz i redid the process 4 times with no result.

Please help if you can PLLEEZZZZZZZZEEEEEE

Re: Panther_CDMA (treo pro CDMA) Hard-SPL is here now!

What do you need help on? It won't boot 6.5 until you run CFAY's RUU. It seems like you unlocked it, now you have to install 6.5.
