Next, download a kitchen from Calcu or TobeyChris. Extract the kitchen. Replace the oem folder in the kitchen with the oem you decompiled from the stock rom, and build. Flash and enjoy. Done. |

Re: Building my own ROM
It's in the attached zip, which is a modified version of DogGuys kitchen for DIAM500. It's got everything you need except an RUU to decompile, modify, and rebuild a stock rom.
EDIT: RUU also attached, just extract the folder to the kitchen. Last edited by indagroove; 01-15-2009 at 02:31 AM. |

Re: Building my own ROM
For building your own ROM at the very basic level, try the sticky'd tutorial
As for getting your own SYS/XIP.... I'd stick to playing with packages, rgus, provxmls, and other easier things until you have a better understanding, then look for SYS porting guides... if you get to that point, you've p***** most of the poeple here. If you really want, you can then try XIP porting, but that requires a lot more computer knowledge. |

Re: Building my own ROM
Check out the Add/Remove Programs in my sig... While the kitchens listed have a newly discovered size limitation... Copy the ..\SYS, ..\OEM, and ..\ROM directories into calcu's kitchen and your good.... I plan on editing the kitchen in my tutorial to get around the limitation. Hey, it's an apache kitchen...ya gotta modernize...
