Sprint Says: National 4G Outage 1/24 -->

I've been having troulbe with 4G not connecting. I called Sprint, worried about some issue with the local area, and was told by 3 different representatives in the tech services area that there's a national 4G outage since 1/24, when they started working on it at 4:36pm (central). They say the outages are "periodic and sporadic" (umm... whatever that means), and there's no update on when the service may return.

I'm in Greensboro NC and I've got no coverage for 4G at all; 3G and voice are OK.

Anyone else? Anyone from GSO with coverage in 4G?

I was talking with a friend the other day how 4G is working like crap currently, when it used to be awesome. Interesting... I live in Santa Monica, CA and Commute to the Valley.

I am 30 miles NE of Atlanta and have solid 4G

I am down the road in Raleigh and I get 4G. Speeds seem to be up and down, but that is not new behavior.

What has gotten better for me is in the house. Used to be I had copy service in the house but now it is steady. Guess they put it on a closer tower.

I do think there is something with the proxy settings. However, I cannot make sense of it. I have them removed and was getting 100KB down over 3G and could not get 4G connected. Added the settings back in, rebooted. Same speed. Removed them again, rebooted and got a 4G signal and it came down at 4.5 mb. Never moved from the same spot the entire time. Strange.

I'm unable to keep a signal in Brooklyn, NY since yesterday afternoon. It would scan, connect, authenticate then disconnect.

actually my phone did not even register any sort of signal earlier today.. i powered down and was back in business

You lucky bastard. I am 30 miles South ATL. Closest 4G is a county over and its patchy..
