Re: HELP!! Apache USB Device Not Recognized

The apache's active sync is probably all screwed up using a backup from a different wm version, try reflashing to either 6.1 or 6.5 then try again. Bootloader isn't recognized by windows without specific drivers being installed just for that, it installs as a qualcomm modem and qualcomm diagnostic port, it's used primarily for MSL retrieval, and in some cases, ESN swaps or other such things you shouldn't worry about.

You can also try reflashing to whatever WM you wanted in the first place, then restore ONLY contacts, appointments, taks notes or whatever else, but NOT restoring registry, program or settings, if thats an option on restore, I use sprite so I dunno about spd backup.

Either way, reflash first, then try again.

Re: HELP!! Apache USB Device Not Recognized

I don't think it is possible to flash from SD. What windows version are you using? If you are using vista, make sure to disable USB connections in Mobile Device Center (under settings>connection settings). In XP do the same for active sync.

Hard reset (both softkeys and reset button in the bottom) 3 or 4 times.

Flash using the USB cable only, not the cradle.

Update your buildos.

Build a NEW FRESH ROM for WM 6.1 and check and double check your boot loader version on the phone and select it in the kitchen. Make the ROM clean and light, just SD card drivers, don't worry about extra software. Choose the correct carrier.

Usually disable USB connections and bootloader versions are the reasons for not being able to flash.

Re: HELP!! Apache USB Device Not Recognized

idk if this will help with the apache but i think it happened to me once on my vogue where I put it in bootloader before it was connected to wmdc(vista) on my laptop, then it installed a driver and the unable to recognize device thing or whatever.
Then i unhooked my vogue and and restarted it to get out of bl, then i went into device manager on my laptop and uninstalled the drivers that were made that had errors.
Plug my vogue in (NOT in bootloader) and let it install the drivers to recognize the phone and connected to wmdc to be able to recognize in wmdc (might be same for active sync?).
unplugged phone, put the phone in bl and plugged it back into the laptop and it could recognize it, and i was able to flash a rom.

Idk this would help, cuz idk if the drivers are the same or not when in bl or not in bl and this is also on my vogue.

Re: HELP!! Apache USB Device Not Recognized

i think that makes this situation is the difference system between the two OS version.. in the wm6.5 theres a extended rom, but in the wm6.1 no.. The big mistake i've done is replacing standard system with wm6.5 system wich theres extended rom on it..

for info, i allready downgrade my other apache to wm6.1, backup it with spb backup, and then restore it to my apache that has a problem ( with hope that will become normal like previous ), but still same.. "USB Device Not Recognized"

same type, same boot version, same OS ( for now ) but sill no luck.

what do i have to do now..........

Re: HELP!! Apache USB Device Not Recognized

Glad you got it working. NEVER restore system files on a different ROM, I know SPB says it can be used for that but it leads to nothing but problems.
