after a day of use i am convinced ! i have my minfree settings set to perfection and OC settings set to perfection . this things a beast ! great work guys !!

I have however made one discovery:

The OC settings are set to 748xxx khz , i noticed when under heavy usage the device would freeze . some devices cannot support the aggressive OC setting of 748 . So use SetCPU to set your max CPU speed (mine is at 710) and that seemed to eliminate all freeze up problems . hope im not repeating an already discovered thing

Thanks for the feedback. Actually what i'm planning on doing is bringing in some of the code from the Hero since the devs there spend a lot of time perfecting the OC. So after the next full/stable release there will be some floating kernels around with the final features missing like gps and stuff.

Add this to your build.prop
I have made several changes to my build.prop don't know if this was the exact code that made it work, too late going to bed will try from scratch tomorrow.

ro.com.google.clientidbase=android-sprint-us
ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric=31000
ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=Sprint

If you don't see the sprint apn after restart go and search for network operators after a while exit out of it(will never exit out of searching, will need to back out manually) go to apn settings and you should see the Sprint apn and just edit necessary values and save. In my case I had 2 named Sprint and one that said USSC. I deleted all but one, edit saved and viola got pic...

Sent from my Touch Pro 2 using Tapatalk
I edited my build.prop for the settings you indicated above, restarted, didn't see the APN and even though I went into Network Operators (manually backing out) the Sprint APN did not show up for me.

At that point, I went ahead and added an APN manually for Sprint, according to the http://xdandroid.com/wiki/MMS settings and then, it worked. Just adding this before did not work, so I think that (obviously) a combination of the two gets it working in the native messaging app.

Best regards,
-boggsie

Boggsie/VZI - Thanks!!! I added the three lines to build.prop, rebooted and now the APN is sticking.

I'm gonna try sending myself an email with a pic attached to see what happens.

Re: [TESTING] - NAND OMGB (1.2.3)

thanks for the research on that whole APN thing fellas. Now lets think bigger !!!

1) Do we have the info for the other carriers ?(verizon not sure who else is cdma)
2) The "sprint" and "31000" we can actually get from the ril. So i can somehow script that to get automatically setprop'd when the ril gets this info. But the ro.com.google.clientidbase=android-sprint-us is something that will probably need to be setup manually. I'm not sure what this is actually used for or what it does.

Re: [TESTING] - NAND OMGB (1.2.3)

OK, receive works but sending hangs indefinitely.

FWIW - I also tried changing

ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric=31000

to

ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric=310120

because I found 310/120 in several places as Sprint network settings.

After I did that I had three APNs auto populated in the list: 0, 1 and uscc

These three appear in apns-conf.xml, so I'm assuming android is auto-populating the APN list when it gets an MCC/MNC match.

It probably doesn't help that I'm on Boost instead of Sprint, but MMS did work in both WinMo and FRX...

Too late to think, going to bed.

Re: [TESTING] - NAND OMGB (1.2.3)

My carrier, mms work need special user/pwd, this will dial into carrier private network, and mms server in private network too.

Also, we have another user/pwd, will dial into public network.
I hack framework like xda. works
This method is not welcome, so I didn't upload to share with you.
