Re: WM 6.5 Custom Taskbar

That's weird looking. Are you running 6.5 or 6.5.3?

Re: WM 6.5 Custom Taskbar

hello Guys,
Think I've bought a "chinese" HTC HD2. It does not have the "digital grandma's clock".
If it's a matter of "a theme", please, which one is it, and where from can I charge it ?
Many Thx

Re: WM 6.5 Custom Taskbar

I am trying to edit the shellres.192.dll file.

I take the shellrest.192.dll file from tsowens v6 wm6.5 taskbar for example, i unsign ussing unsigner, i edit some icons, say the signal bars, then i resign using msigner, which is successful, then i copy the shellres.192.dll file in the \windows folder on my device.

When i soft reset, i have no start button icon, no signal bars etc, what am i doing wrong?

many thanks for any help

Re: WM 6.5 Custom Taskbar

are you sure you signed it correctly? There was an older version around which the certs were expired. Also before editing did my shellres work for you? Have you installed sdkcerts?

Hi, Thanks for the reply, I have installed your taskbar successfully no problem, i am using a sense rom so sdkcerts is already installed, msigner i am unsure, i am using this version. After signing shellres.192.dll i can see its signed, but like you say perhaps the certificate has expired, but i think they updated the certs.

I sign as a privdevelopers, not sure if thats the right option.

By the way, i really like your taskbar icons, fantastic, just i would like to change signal icons, ok and close buttons and start button to my taste.

What software should i use for editing existing icons as well as creating/porting others?

I am glad you like them. I have plans for Android and WP7 soon. If you go to my main taskbar thread it has the software and also the new certificates for signing.

In your taskbar phcanOverbmp.dll there is one icon with a different bit depth, 4 bit instead of 8 bit, sadly using a 4 bit icon changes the look, is there a way to make it take a 8 bit icon, is it something to do with masks, if so how do i do that in PE Explorer?

which one is it? I use IcoFX to change the bit depth. PE Explorer was more for uploading them. Although sometimes I had to use reshack when changing sizes.
