Need WP7 DLNA Player

I posted this over in the Android Apps forum too, but since I also have a Surround, I'm interested in getting this working on WP7 too.

I have a Netgear router that allows for a USB hard drive and has a Media Server function that uses DLNA.

I want to be able to stream videos/music to my phone from this media server.

Re: Need WP7 DLNA Player

I'm pretty sure the LG is the only WP7 model that supports DLNA. I would love to have DLNA support on my Trophy too (I looked it up and could not find anything showing support for it).

Someone please correct me if I am wrong here...

I have LG Optimus 7. It has only DLNA Server, no player either.

Re: Need WP7 DLNA Player

For Mindfrost. This is a mango app, so you need to have mango (plus the updated firmware ?) on your Surrond.

It was found with the HTC leaked rom that the HTC Trophy supports DLNA the other day, so this is the app that I ripped from the marketplace that gives DLNA support. Not sure if it will work on the Surround or not.

It does not open on NoDO (but will install), so YMMV and good luck

Re: Need WP7 DLNA Player

I didn't try your XAP, but that app does show up in the Mango Marketplace on my phone, but when I try to run it after installing, it says that it doesn't support my phone. If I click on Media Servers in the background, it just keeps telling me I need WiFi on, even though I already do.

Re: Need WP7 DLNA Player

it won't work on the stock ROMs. it will probably work when the official mango and ROM is released as that will enable the DLNA support.
