I still uninstalled Opera 10beta this week though... a little "too beta" for my liking; NO PAGE would load the first time I directed the browser to it, I was incessantly hitting "refresh," which was annoyong and counterproductive. Aside from the look and feel, I really didn't notice much of a true tangible change, advantage, or increase in overall performance compares to the 9-series Opera Mobile releases. Once Opera-10 hits RC, or a 1st Stable Release, I will look into it.

*Oh, also... how on earth do you close it to background (not exit it all the way)? Opera-9's was much easier to close, you tapped the screen and it went from full screen, to show your Windows Mobile top-bar, where you could "X" it out, and later go right back to it through the drop-down task manager in the upper right hand corner of the phone. With Opera-10 all I saw was an "Exit" icon.
just hold ur finger on the bbc speed dial then select clear, u can change it to whatever you like

i hit my home (end key) to minimize opera and get to htc sense ui

beta2 uses much less ram and now thanks to opera-link i dont have to reconfigure all my bookmarks everyflash anymore!! yay

Re: Opera 10 beta early users? (Mobile)

I like Opera 10. It's much faster, better looking interface, tabbed browsing is MUCH better (finally, thumbnails), and the animations look very nice! Menu icons also look good.

Only thing I would like to see improved (keep in mind I'm not uninstalling because of these), zoom control (needs integration with our zoom pad. I can't wait for multi-touch zoom on the HD2), and lock scrolling (vertical scrolling is sloppy).

Otherwise, I'm happy!

P.S. what's the newest version of Opera 10? I'm on Opera 10.00 from EnergyROM 28004 (although I'm going to flash 28008 shortly)

I put in the customer user agent string of Opera/10.50 (Windows NT 6.1; U; en-GB) Presto/2.2.2
seemed to make it even faster.

AWESOME, thanks for your help! I had no idea Beta2 was already out... I am always in amazement the pace things change at in this realm. Maybe I'll give it another shot... aside from not being able to scroll up/down in a linear motion, with what you shared with me looks like Opera10 beta2 might be the way to go! Just activated my new Touch-Pro 2 last night!

EDITED: Installing NOW on my TP2

Re: Opera Mobile 10 Beta Released 11/17 CAB/OEM

Anyone know why Opera doesn't like running in the background? Everytime I try to minimize Opera to do other stuff on the phone, Opera closes itself. Is this a setting or a "feature"?
