saqer 10-19-2007 01:50 AM

today's app is for blackberry. I think they're going to keep rotating OS's until the end the promotion or they start with WM5 again. Kind of a bummer. Was lookin forward to an app.

Victor_A 10-19-2007 01:55 AM

Yeah me to but can't expect them to have wm apps only so I guess BB can have it this week.

manicmetal 10-19-2007 01:51 PM

Indeed. They sell software for different platforms, so they probably give away software for all those platform.
Just wait until next friday if they will give us a windows mobile application.

Unlikely, I will say wait another 3 weeks to see a WM app. They still have to give apps for Symbian OS, Tablet PC, and PSP.

Hmm, just use your ppc phone to remind you about it on fridays.
I added a task with a due date of every friday to remind me of it.

AFAngryWarrior 11-02-2007 02:15 AM

Woo hoo Mobi TV today! I checked online at midnight and it had it as "last weeks" free app but I know it wasnt then 10 mins later there it was. sweet. never used it, but if it works well will be cool for instant entertainment.

Pibe38 11-02-2007 02:42 AM

Awesome just got my copy!!!

saqer 11-02-2007 02:46 AM

Sweeeeeeet! Such a good time to get this app since Sprint TV stopped working :)

but I'm wondering: is this good for one free month and then a subscription fee for subsequent months?

That was my question too. Is there a monthly fee for MobiTV? I installed it and it only asked me for my Handango login and password, no payment info.

Also, when I went to Menu - Subscriptions it said that there would be premium content soon.

So I don't really know at the moment.

Catman51 11-02-2007 06:03 AM

According to their website, and Handango's description, it is 9.99 per month.
So, it ain't so free!

budney 11-02-2007 08:38 AM

This is very cool! If it only free for a month that's fine for me. It is something new to play with for a while. :)

KoukiFC3S 11-02-2007 10:43 AM

yea it seems like its free for a month and then theyll wanna charge you. meh ill skip this one

Painter_ 11-02-2007 10:44 AM

It looks like it is only for a month. I would also guess if you have a credit card on file they will auto bill you.

http://www.handango.com/Subscription...nguage=english

SUBSCRIPTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Payment Information
By accepting these standard terms, you authorize Handango to automatically bill the charge card you have provided until you cancel this subscription. You are billed according to the "Billing Policies" described below. All refund requests must comply with Handango's Refund Policy (located on Handango.com). In conjunction with this policy, you may cancel this subscription at any time, but this refund will not be applicable to any remaining portion of your subscription fees, including any minimum commitments, already billed to your account. You agree to provide Handango with valid, accurate and up-to-date credit card and contact information. Failure to comply may result in the immediate termination of this subscription. You agree to notify Handango regarding any billing issues or disputes within 90 days after they have been charged. If any issues or disputes are not brought to Handango's attention within this term, you waive your right to dispute them.

2. Billing Policies
If you purchase a monthly subscription, your credit card will be charged at the time of purchase for your first month of use. After this initial payment, your credit card will be automatically charged on the same day the subsequent month for the use of this application, until you cancel your subscription.

MobiTV PPC free friday Handago

Well thats not cool, i thought I was going to get free tv for life in this thing. $9.99 / a month no way.

Catman51 11-02-2007 03:35 PM

If you downloaded it, get over to your account and cancel the subscription, or they will start your billing after a month. I just cancelled it!

saqer 11-02-2007 04:05 PM

I don't see how they're gonna bill me unless they bill me on credit and send me an invoice. They don't have a credit card no. on file.

Ok...I DL'ed this app and tried to install it on my Mogul. It says "mobitv_34175_ppc_setup" is not a valid Pocket PC application. Am I doing something wrong?

:???:

Got it working..but if this is only for 30 days I'll take it off before that time expires.

go to my account and click on "subscription products" in the left pane

Selling subscriptions almost deviously totally a pet peeve, but i shoulda known it was too good to be true

Painter_ 11-02-2007 10:26 PM

I would like to know how they will bill me as they have no credit card information for me. I have never bought anything from Handango.

monster28 11-02-2007 10:31 PM

this is what i got in a e mail

This is the full version of MobiTV for Pocket PC, so no registration key will be needed.
Developer of MobiTV for Pocket PC says: Note: in some cases it may take up to 3 hours from the time of purchase before your MobiTV service is provisioned. If you launch MobiTV and receive a TRY offer, please exit the application and try again later. (Accepting the TRY offer will initiate your account in trial mode, and you will be forced to call MobiTV to have your account reset once the provisioning period is complete). Discounts on subscription products are only applied to first billing. Subsequent billings will be for full subscription price.

they won't, they'll just cancel your subscription and tell you to pay if you want more. unless they send you an invoice via mail, which would be a very interesting business practice

Dagger969 11-09-2007 01:03 PM

Today's free app is a music player for Symbian. No PPC love this week.

saqer 11-16-2007 04:10 AM

i think there's a standard and professional version of agendus and the professional version just has more features

but I think i'll pass on this one. won a copy of pocket informant and lovin it...

02840 11-16-2007 09:09 AM

This is the Standard version of Agendus for WM Smartphones, not the Standard version for PPC.

Fine...

Inside sources have told me it will be a standard update for ALL WM devices. This will upgrade to WM 7, nicknamed BillyGatey. It supports BT 3.0, adds GPS, and Rev. B too all devices.

And all this for the amazing price of $0!!!
