HTC Hero - Android

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, please move it to the correct forum.

Ppcgeeks is an AWESOME site and love all the information on this site with so many ways to pimp your phone and do so many cool things with it. In a few weeks, I am going to be switching to the android phone (HTC Hero).

I was wondering, if there is a site similar to this for android OR if there will be a HTC Hero section on ppc geeks for people to post android tricks/hacks etc. I do see another section for android OS but there is only 3 posts.

I love this site because of the AWESOME users and the knowledge that they bring to the table. Maybe it is too early to tell because the sprint hero doesnt come out until next week. I was just hoping I could find a site for the android similar to the way ppcgeeks is set up for windows mobile devices.

I am excited to upgrade to the android but will miss some of the programs and things I could do on my windows mobile phone. Two of my favorite programs I use on windows mobile (skyfire browser and slingbox) arent ported over to android (as of now - i hope this changes soon). I enjoyed being able to test out new roms and get windows 6.5 rom on my phone before it is released and loved some of the software like personalizer that allowed me to put my name on the phone instead of saying sprint.

Thanks again to all the people that have worked hard and have shared their work with others to make this site so great. I love showing some of my friends the things I can do with my phone and having them be amazaed at the things they see. I wouldnt have been able to do it without this site and the people sharing their wisdom.

Re: HTC Hero - Android

I really hope that we can have an Android/Hero subforum on ppcgeeks, there are a lot of people interested in switching from WM to Android.

Re: HTC Hero - Android

I decided yesterday that I will be getting the Sholes/tao/droid when it comes out. I will be keeping my awesome TP2 and buying it at full price. I got my tp2 for free, after selling my tp1, so what the hell. I will just *228 and switch between the two. I guess I will be spending time here and android central...
