Turn Your PPC into a Tablet PC

I started an off-topic thread similar to this, but after some thought this seemed a more appropriate location in the Software Thread!

What would be needed to emulate a tablet pc on the windows mobile platform?
What software exists already?
What would need to be developed?

What kinds of things can be emulated, what cannot?

Re: Turn Your PPC into a Tablet PC

If you mean to run Windows XP/Vista/7 as on operating system to make our PPCs a tablet PC, the biggest issue I would foresee is processor speed and RAM.

I mean, think about it, the poor phones sometimes even have trouble running Windows Mobile... and it was designed for the devices!

I'm not doubting that it can be done, but I foresee it to run very slowly if it is achieved.

Re: Turn Your PPC into a Tablet PC

The processor is too slow, there is nowhere near enough ram, and the screen is too small to even make it worth the trouble, let alone the fact that ppcs dont have cd drives.

Even with a version of XP light ? I've see it run pretty well on machines that would be a nightmare with the regluar version.

I'd be interested to see if it could happen but, like others, If it could run, it would be so slow it'd be worthless.

EEE PCs don't even run Windows because of the memory issues. I would KILL to give my phone the specs of a EEE

Re: Turn Your PPC into a Tablet PC

What if we think of a ppc as a "tablet pc lite?"
Are there apps out there that can emulate some of the functionality?
