Couple of questions...

Will Storyr's WeatherPanel injection work with 3.5?
If I have installed new widgets (mskip's widgets from XDA) will those carryover or will I need to reinstall them? Can they even be added to 3.5 if they were created for 3.0?

I need to know before I try to upgrade. Thanks!

2. I dont think so. Check his thread, I think he had to redo the widgets for 3.5, however I could be wrong.

Nope, old widgets won't work. Mskip is in the process of creating new, but it may take a few days - the man does have to sleep.

Anyone having problems even installing it onto a samsung omnia?
A co worker of mine is trying to install it and everytime gets a message saying that it was unsuccefully installed. he has redownloaded the cab and even been in touch with the company. But nothing has helped.

All I can add is that it insalled on my Omnia without a problem. FWIW, my Omnia did not have 3.1 on it as I had removed it some number of flashes ago.

Right now 3.1 was installed before upgrading. the downlad for the cab was pulled from handago and not the spbwarehouse site. Is the links different?

Also tried installing it with just windows and any spb software removed except for a keyboard.

It installed perfectly on my VZW i910 Omnia. One time over 3.1 (and Mskip's Ultimate) and one time just clean.

Has your friend done a soft reset, first? Sometimes it helps to start with a fresh system. HTH
