Re: How bad is Mindows Media Player, really?
If you're getting the Touch Pro 2 and are going to play lots of audio in MP4, M4a, aac, aac v2 etc. formats I suggest you use the built-in player in TouchFlo 3D... It's superior to WMP and very finger friendly.
There's so need for purchasing an app like kinomaplay, but I can highly recommend kinoma since it's great, not only for audio but also all the other stuff + that it's very finger friendly aswell... |

Re: How bad is Mindows Media Player, really?
It's so bad you'd be well advised to spend only a minimal amount of time even trying it. But, who knows? Maybe you'll be one of the few who actually like it.
No one player is best for everyone's needs. Even if you take just one person, me for example, I like and regularly use 3 players: (1) For playing my regular rotation of over 2100 oldies, I luv Pocket Player because of being able to code my own skin showing playlist and song art, as well as the fact PP is flexible enough to allow for my singles-oriented use of PPs Album browser: (2) For current faves, which change constantly, I still use PocketMusic because of the easy way in which playlists can be created and edited within PM. And... (3) Good old TCPMP remains my choice for quickly bringing up a spur of the moment tune without messing up current position or playlists within other players. So, in conclusion, you should likely take the advice of owziee and try the player HTC includes on TP2. If that leaves you desiring something more, then this is where having a Windows Phone becomes wonderful, because there are tons of music players available for WinMo. And it's fun trying them out, provided you have at least a little time for it. Enjoy! |

Re: How bad is Mindows Media Player, really?
Thank you all very much for the replies.
Turns out (as stated here) that the Touchflo 3d player works with all my mp3 and AAC files just fine. Even looked up album art and everything all by itself. Very slick and easy. Thanks again. Mike H |

Re: How bad is Mindows Media Player, really?
It sounds like you may have decided on the TF3D player, which is a fine choice. You'll be happy.
However, my personal favorite is Nitrogen (I even have a thread about it here).

Re: How bad is Mindows Media Player, really?
Is TF3D's audio player an .exe? I'm using Titanium instead of TF3D. I was thinking of adding HTC's player to my app launcher plug-in, but can't find the .exe.
Is the player only available when TF3D is in use? Anyone have any ideas? Skid |
