Re: Hide running app on Task Manager (taskmgr.exe)
From the today screen, open the taxk manager and click the button that looks like a wrench to get to the settings page. Click and hold on the application you wish to add to the exclusive list, and select "Add Exclusive". Now press OK. This task will now no longer appear under the task manager which is available on the today screen. I know of no way to prevent it from appearing under \windows\taskmgr.exe though.

Re: Hide running app on Task Manager (taskmgr.exe)
You can do as Semler has said for an application you have installed.
If you are developing an application and want it to not show, there is something else you can do to accomplish that as well. I'm assuming the first scenario is the one you are asking about. If not, let me know and I can assist you further if needed.

Re: Hide running app on Task Manager (taskmgr.exe)
I want to hide it from taskmgr.exe, not the one that has the exclusion. And yes, it's an application I installed.

Re: Hide running app on Task Manager (taskmgr.exe)
Im also looking for a way to do this.
The exclusive option only hides the app in the taskman quick menu, but if you go into the manager it shows there as hidden. |
