what version of Touchpal do you prefer - Page 2

Personally I have used TouchPal since ver 3 and I prefer 4 so it is all a matter of taste. I personally don't see what everyone doesn't like about 4 its got everything 3.5 had and more. Personally the trade off was OK as I got some really useful buttons on the main screen and those other characters can still be gotten to easily.

I use 3.5, I tried 4.0 & hated it (most long time users hated it). I agree totally with this statement:

I've read a few things people didn't like with 4.0 such as "3.5 can show the next word inline. I find this very very helpful. 4 does not have this option"

For me, it was the fact they removed " - _ : ; ( ) \ and @ from the main layout page.

I made my own skin for 3.5 & see no reason to ever switch to any other version at this point.

I agree John. There is no apparent difference in speed betwen 3.5 and 4 and to a longtime user (since TouchPal came out) the changes in the keyboard layout IMO were too much to adapt to.

Personally I never have used it in landscape. Even when I was running it on my 6700. I used it instead of the hardware KB "preparing" for the Touch. Funny enough, I miss the keyboard. Looking at the Touch Pro 2 now. I think it would be funny if TouchPal wouldn't work on the Pro 2 because of the resolution.

I'm using 3.5, I have been a touchpal user going on 3 years.

I wish they would fix problems 3.5 has with windows mobile 6.5. The only adding the first letter of the first word when replying to a threaded txt is annoying. I've made it a habit to press backspace before I start typing, this seems to help.

I'm not sure what you're talking about here.

I use TP 3.5 in WM 6.5 & I don't see what you're describing at all??

I get this intermittently. I haven't been able to isolate what causes it.
