Live Phone Access via PC

Back in my Nokia Days, I had the ability to use some Nokia PC Software "browse" my phone contents via Bluetooth; I was able to compose and snd/rcv txt msgs, access the phone calendar, and view/edit contacts in real time (so it wasn't a forced sync per say)

The desire is while I'm sitting here at my work PC I can read/respond to txt msgs on my pc rather than my HTC Touch Pro.

Microsoft MyPhone and the Dashwire service is too slow; while it's great for backups it takes too long for msgs to appear.

What are my other options?

+1, MyMobiler is a great app. I don't use it a ton, but it works flawlessly when I do.

MyMobiler does rock my face off.

It makes me look more productive at work since I can txt all day long w/o having my phone in my hands!

Windows CE VNC Server: http://sourceforge.net/projects/wincevncsvr/

You'll need to know the IP address of your phone so you can login to it.

Install to your device, and make sure it's running. Get the IP address of your TP, and use port 5901. Open any browser, and enter it as http://127.0.0.1:5901, (replace 127.0.0.1 with the actual public IP address). You will be prompted for the User and password. Admin is the user, and the password is whatever you specify. After doing so, you will have remote access to whatever device you have VNC Server running on. (if behind a firewall, you'll need to enable port forwarding).

Re: Live Phone Access via PC

Here's a Microsoft Power Tool that I used sometime ago with the PPC6700... Worked pretty well then... Not to sure of the specifics...

Remote Display Control for Pocket PC

With the Remote Display Control application, you can display actions on a Pocket PC, including user input, remotely on the display of a desktop or laptop personal computer. This is a great tool for demonstrating the power of the Pocket PC to a large audience. It also allows developers to test their applications for the Pocket PC on a larger screen.
Remote Display Control uses TCP/IP, and it can work with ActiveSync connections via Ethernet or dial-up.
This download is intended for English Windows Powered Pocket PC only.
