VNC solution

Ive been trying at this one for a bit now and im not sure if im getting all the information right so i thought i would check. Im trying to setup a vnc connection to my home pc from my computer but can never get the connection to work, I dont know if its combinations of software i have or what. What i do know is i have a legit copy of real vnc (Yeah my dad actually had an old lisence key and it still works) and was wondering what vnc viewers work with that? By my aim is to try to beable to pull up movies and view them on my phone as well as play 3d video games, which unfortunatley, cannot be done on RDP. I also dont want to use logmein, doesnt like my quad core for some reason, not sure exactly (maybe its the overclock but that im keeping).

real vnc has an associated winmo client. dont expect to watch movies or play games however.
