You only waited 2 1/2 hours for a reply!

That said, Blackberry Messenger works by the RIM PIN system (i.e.: it requires you to have a PIN number with Research In Motion -- the markers of the Blackberry). Since you don't have a PIN number it won't work (by default).

All is not lost however, Windows Mobile does have Blackberry BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) support through a product called BBConnect from RIM. You can read about it here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices/enabled/
and here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices...ab_tab_windows

In order to use this program you will need to have the "Blackberry service" added on to your phone (from your carrier) and unfortunately it doesn't support Blackberry Messenger at this time (but supposedly will in the future).

The huge negative (or positive depending how you look at it) is that if you connect to a BES server with very strict policies (restrict sms, restrict loading of programs, etc.) those policies will be enforced on your Windows Mobile phone also (just as they would w/ a genuine Blackberry).

Re: Blackberry Messenger???

There are a few things in the works and i'll give you some more info when I get it. Also the Blackberry connect uses the IMEI to create a "PIN" for a winmo device so using PIN to PIN messengers may be possible. I haven't been around geeks much lately...I'm in training for blackberry enterprise server support...I'll see what I can find out from the boys at Waterloo at the Blackberry campus.
