Change the voice in Voice Command

is there anyway to change the standard female robot voice that reads things in Voice Command to something a bit better?

Re: Change the voice in Voice Command

Seems there is no way, otherwise MS would have other voices listed to download.

Wow, this is something I never would have considered as important. Goodness.

Now all we need is a developer to merge MSVC with this: http://www.naturalvoices.att.com/

Re: Change the voice in Voice Command

A few years ago I had a British voice with MSVC. I'm pretty sure someone had just taken the correct files from the UK version. I don't see why it wouldn't still be out there in that (and other) dialects.

Wow....looking for an excuse to fly off the handle, there? If the voice is that big of an issue----look at the screen. If you can't look at the screen, learn to deal with the MSVC voice. Does she sound like an ex-girlfriend or something? How would a new voice laid over the top of absolutely unchanged functionality even be considered an improvement anyway? I think we should stop dogging Micro$oft on the sole basis that they are a big company and start looking at the fact that, thanks to other companies that have arisen *coughcoughapplecoughcough*microsoft is rolling out these improvements at an accelerated pace. Windows mobile has been completely functional since the day it was released, as evidenced by the fact that THE PPCGEEKS COMMUNITY IS FRIGGIN HUGE. If you can't deal with the MSVC chick's voice and it has become that big of an issue, get an iphone. You're not helping anything by moaning and whining about how you can't deal with what you have. Don't forget, its a friggin phone. A PHONE. It already has such rediculous capabilities, and you whine about the voice of the robot that you ASK QUESTIONS?! You ask questions AND IT ANSWERS YOU. Seriously, thats crazy.

Re: Change the voice in Voice Command

Id argue to say the community is friggen huge because it hasnt been completely functional since the day it was released - and users are frustrated and need help/alternatives/hacks, etc.

I could be wrong though.
