Re: Suggest for Windows Mobile: Official Google Voice App
I suggested it as well as I am a heavy Google voice user. Right now I use it for the voice mail features instead of the "Google number". I personally find it super easy to just go to the Google Voice mobile site.
Visual Google Voice mail for Mobile Obviously you must have a G-Voice account and then all one has to do is go to "google.com/voice/m" from their mobile phone and it will let you read and listen to you voice mails. I have a Diamond with OMJ's latest 6.5.3 rom and max manila ultimate and I just add "google.com/voice/m" as one fo my homescreen links...then set my google voice settings to send me an SMS without transcripts to my phone for notification. Granted this service really is geared towards people with unlimited text messaging and data plans (which should be most of us here at PPCgeeks). Setting up google voice this way is super smooth, I just get a Text that says "you have a new voicemail". And then go to the mobile site to read it or listen to it. An even more efficient way would be to set up an e-mail account dedicated to your voicemail so as to not get an SMS every time, but have a dedicated voicemail inbox (ie - JonQsvoicemail@gmail.com) and link that e-mail account with your phone (same thing as doing the SMS thing only keeps things more organized by not cluttering your SMS inbox). I don't do this only because I have my e-mail set to autmatically check once every hour, so I like having SMS notifications which is instant. Now what I really want to see is Google Voice being integrated into GOOGLE WAVE. For all of you Wave and Voice users out there...how sick would that be? |
