Sirius Win-Mo App Discussion

I couldn't find where this was mentioned anywhere else on the forum, so I appologize if this is a repeat...

I currently use a Sirius streaming program on my phone, and it works wonderfully (SiriusWM5). Now my question is, is there an alternative to this program or another variation to be able to receive the channels that are internet based only i.e. SIR-12 Those stations are not listed on the program, and I think that the list on the program I have has not been updated since I downloaded it. I hear though that the program has been taken down from sites because it is an infringement.

Now, I have tried to use Opera Mini, Skyfire, and Iris with so success....

Is anyone else out there fiending for channels that are internet based only, or is there a solution I'm just not aware of yet?

Good find, I wish I could get my hands on the source code to one of the two sirius apps, I would love to fix it up/give it some more options...

Just modify the channels.txt file in your sirius directory.

Launch the sirius player application on your pc. Hover your mouse over the channel you want to add to siriuswm5. In the status bar you will notice a javascript link like this for the bootleg channel in question.

When you open your channels.txt file you will notice all of your channel entries have 4 values. Using the information in the javascript link from the Sirius player you can enter the new channel or modify data for an existing channel. For the bootleg channel in question you will need to add the following lines to your channels.txt file. Don't put a carriage return at the end.

SIR-12 | Bootleg
music
rockSIR
8231

Save your channels.txt back to your ppc and run the player. You might also want to remove channels that you will never listen to, like anything country.
