Update!!BING Mobile now available!!

So what if you just uninstalled Bing, then went to their web site down load the cab for WM6 and install that cab?

Done that!! I downloaded the cab from the website and installed it. I even cleared the folder on my card and the Temp folder. It just keeps asking to update.

Boy I don't know then, I just loaded bing to check and I don't get any messages telling me there is an update or wanting me to update.
Good luck, personily I hardly ever use bing, GoogleMaps is so much better in my opinion.

True, google maps is very useful, but Bing has its place too.

I was just trying to see if anyone had an actual update from the version that we already have installed.

Same experience here, with Bing Mobile v: 5.0.11249.0
App keeps informing me that a 'Update is Available'...

It D/L the 'newer' bing.cab, and installs correctly, however, when the app opens again, and I go to the Help--->About Option, it is still the same v: 5.0.11249.0
The 'Update is Available' option is still present...

I have uninstalled the app, and completely removed all Bing related folders on my storage card.....same endless loop.

Googled this issue, and came to this nice site..
Looks like ole MS (albeit this app is still in the beta state), needs to get their developers on this team to tighten up their act as this version seems slow, and quirky...

I too utilize Google Maps, but like to also have Bing, really enjoyed the reliable Mobile Windows Live app.....interface etc.

At least the GPS functions seem to be working correctly for me with this version of Bing...Have tested a ton of various beta apps on my device, and will patiently await these glitches to hopefully be rectified...lol

Interesting as I just 'flashed' to a new Samsung 6.1 Maintenance Release_Upgrade ROM (full 92MB file .exe)...

I then D/L the Bing.cab (standard version for 6.1 and 6.5 devices) from their site, and stated that 'it doesn't recognize my device....but you can try it anyway'....link

I installed it to my storage card, and here is the results:
Bing Mobile Version: 5.1.2010.3290
(available update--->is now properly grayed out)
Different Homescreen GUI
Haven't had time to 'play_with_it' much for testing purposes, but will report back here with my findings...
