Powerful calculator / scientific calculator type application
I've long used EasyCalc under the Palm OS. I've recently migrated to WM6 and need to locate a similar application. With the larger screen of my PPC 6800 versus the tiny one on my Palm-based Treo, a calculator should be a pleasure to use.
Basically, the premise behind EasyCalc is to replicate much of the functionality of a multi-line scientific calculator. Your calculations are displayed in an editable formula field as you enter information, and it is easy to access recent calculations. The result is simple, powerful and irreplaceable. You can see what I'm talking about here: http://easycalc.sourceforge.net/ Any suggestions on something similar for Windows Mobile? I've searched, but everything I am seeing appears to be lacking the editable formula line display. What am I missing? |

Check out HiCalc. It's a pretty nice program that might fit your needs.

Might be a little over-kill and/or not as easy to operate, but there is a TI calculator emulator. I've used the TI-89 all through high school and college so it was very handy and easy to use with exactly all the same functionality as a TI-89.
You can also emaulate the TI-82, TI-83, TI-83 Plus, TI-85, TI-86, TI-89, TI-92, TI-92 II, and/or TI-92 Plus calculators. http://62.65.69.4/archives/files/fil...309/30978.html The setup is kind of large (~2 MB I think) + the ROM OS (~1.2 MB), but you can remove the extra skin files that you aren't using to get the install back to ~1.8 MB. Edit: See the link below for the TI calc ROMs: http://<br /> http://www.ticalc.org...s/romdump.html

If you are more of a reverse polish notation kind of guy there are a lot of emulators for hp calculators also. Free42 is a nice emulator of the HP42s, EMU48 will emulate all the different versions of the HP48, the HP49 and a few others. You can get them here: http://www.hpcalc.org/hp48/pc/emulators/

Well the easiest way if you already own the TI calculator you are looking to emulate is: 1. Download the TI Calculator Emulator in my post above 2. Unzip and install the TI app via activeSync 3. Go here: http://education.ti.com/educationpor...ps_latest.html and find the calcultor you have/looking for. 4. Follow the links to download the operating system. (example the TI-89 OS is available here: http://education.ti.com/educationpor.../us_os_89.html ) 5. Manually copy the TI OS file to your TI caluclator emulator folder on your windows mobile device That's really about it. You should be able to launch the TIcalcEmulator.exe and launch your calculator. |

I use the TI emulator with the TI-89 Rom. Used a TI-89 in high school and most of college. Been using the emulator since my XV6600 and now on my XV6700. Works great and I didn't have carry the calculator.
