Sprite Backup is a horrible application

I just purchased a copy of Sprite Backup software (the lite version) for my Sprint Mogul (WM6) and it has been the most frustrating experience I have ever had with a mobile device.

When I first got it installed, off and on I would get an error just launching the application (it wasn't specific at all, just said "If this continues, please contact our support". When I finally got into it I tried backing up my device 4 seperate times. Everytime I get an error stating the Database cannot be backed up and it instantly restarts (no more information or anything).

This is a brand new device and I even recently did a hard reset on it to ensure no software issues. Every application I have on it runs absolutely flawlessly so this is an issue with your application. I saw quite a few people on their message boards with all sorts of issues and the admin just syaing "I'll look into it" but none say resolved. If I would have saw the message board before I purchased this I would have looked elsewhere.

After all of this what happens when I try to sync it again? It deleted _some_ of my partnership data on my phone! Now I have to go through the whole process of re-setting it up.

Has anyone else had this issue?

no... but I don't have a mogul... perhaps it has an issue with WM6?

Well they advertise complete compatability with Windows Mobile 6 so I sure hope it's not that. I think I may try to go through Handango to get a refund

I have never heard of this issue. I use Sprite and SPB. Never a problem.
I guess you have no other option than yo search around their message board and also post a few inquiries.

Already submitted a support ticket and, unfortuantely, there is practically nothing on their message board. Though, there are many folks who had issues with the beta with backup errors and it doesn't look like any were ever resolved.... not sure if they even check their own boards anymore.

SPB backup is working fine on my Mogul as it has been on my previous version of PocketPCs. Only problem it has on WM6 is scheduled backup doesn't work when "close all running apps" option is checked.
It's strange you have the problem even with fresh hard reset device. Is that possible your SD card has an issue?

I wouldn't think so. I store a lot of data on it from my other applications with no problems.
