Re: S2U2 v2.00 is Now Available
FYI>>The following may be contributing to a power drain that some have been experiencing.
I don't know for sure if there is a correlation but I just wanted put it out there so others could check and decide for themselves. s2u2.exe may be constantly using 3-5% CPU usage even at idle which may be contributing to a power drain that some are experiencing. I noticed this when I was using v2.01 I switched back to v1.62 which is not using any CPU% at idle. I don't know how many are experiencing this issue or what is causing it. I have read over at xda that some are experiencing this issue also. Just a suggestion but you may want to check this out via a Task Manager such as FDC Task Manager 3.1 or a similar program. Again, I am just stating what I and others have experienced, and if it is an issue , A_C will surely have a fix. |

I think the 10 slots for custom name/number will work for the lock dial, but I wouldn't recommend changing the 911 entries. |
Re: S2U2 v2.00 is Now Available
I've run into a problem since installing v2.00 and I was able to track it down and the problem is in v2.00. BTW, I'm on an Omnia.
After I installed 2.0, after so many minutes (never was able to get a good read on it) the screen will blank completely. At first I thought the phone was locked up. But, I accidentally ended up calling someone with the screen completely off. I also feel the phone vibrate when I would press a button, and I could still receive texts and phone calls. I just couldn't see what was going on. I figured out that the screen would only come back on if I pressed the top power button. I checked the phone settings and it is not set up this way. I also couldn't find anything in the S2U2 settings that would make this the default. Apparently, I cannot get the screen back on without hitting the power button. This is a little annoying since the power button on the Omnia is very small and located on top of the phone (not easy to press one handed). I MUCH prefer to be able to hit one of the actual phone buttons to awaken the screen. Has anyone else run into this? Thanks! |

I haven't seen this at all, I can wake my screen with the end button as well. Maybe another app conflicting?

Re: S2U2 v2.00 is Now Available
How do you unhide file extensions?
I created a new DWORD in my Task Manager RegEdit and it is there in S2U2 as a new value. I am looking for the Debug files which may help out alittle regarding s2u2.exe CPU Usage, but I cannot find them. They are in my File Explorer somewhere as they were created when I created the new value. I was told to look on my pc at the files and unhide them but am new to that concept. How would I do this? Thanks for any advice. Pardon me if I am using the wrong lingo :) |
Re: S2U2 v2.00 is Now Available
Sweet, a new version, I love S2U2.
Everything seems to work fine, except I'm not feeling the haptic feedback on the slider like the last version. I'm sure it's set up right, any suggestions? Also, is there a way to turn off the scrolling light behind "Slide To Unlock"? I only ask in case that might be affecting battery life. I need to preserve all the battery life I can on the TP. ](*,) edit: nm about the light, I just noticed it turns off on it's own. |
Re: S2U2 v2.00 is Now Available
I'm not sure what the code is for the TP, but have you entered in anything in the Vibarate LED option in the settings?

Re: S2U2 v2.00 is Now Available
I have an issue every now and then on my TP... Phone will be in standy, a call will come in, and it won't do the caller ID or allow me to answer it. I have to Slike it to unlock and then hit the green button and pray the I want to talk to whoever is calling, lol..
Anyone else experience this at all? I'm on SSK 2.1.1 WinMo v 6.5 Thanks, -Corey |
