The fix was to disable S2U2 S2A and Caller id and the problems were gone. Using the stock S2A and caller id. |
Re: S2U2 v2.00 is Now Available
Checked with A_C and low CPU usage is normal as S2U2 needs to check system status, most of which are on the top bar.
As I described in a previous post, 2u2.exe is using between 0.00-1.20% CPU usage on my Diamond but stays at 0.00% most of the time. So if you check with a Task Manager such as FDC Task Manager 3.1 and see minimal usage as described, it is normal. Wanted to let you guys know in case you are associating battery drain with CPU usage which would not apply with such little sporadic usage. On the other hand, I would think that if you are experiencing a higher CPU usage such as 3-5%, that may be a problem. |

Re: S2U2 v2.00 is Now Available
Anyone else having this problem with Omnia...
With S2U2 2.00 (and 2.01) installed, after a few minutes of being locked with the screen off, the phone will enter standby mode and can only be awakened by pressing the top power button. It will not wake with any other button presses. But, the phone is still operable as it will vibrate if rotated. It's just a pain to have to hit the top power button. This does not happen with previous versions. Only with 2.00 and 2.01. At first I thought this was an issue with another program, but after several days of trial and error I found it to be S2U2. Anyone else seen this? |
Re: S2U2 v2.00 is Now Available
volsmcfalls....that wasn't you that posted over at XDA was it? I replied over there to the same issue (so if it was you, at least your not alone). I still lean towards a third party involvement here. I just went through another issue on my Omnia that was fixed by removing a totally (at least I thought so) unconnected app!!
