Re: Iris 1.1.8 OUT!
sorry, as I said, I was at work. Not allowed to be downloading personal stuff in the office. SO I rushed, didn't think about the link.
Just trying to be helpful, apparently not helpful enough. |

Re: Iris 1.1.8 OUT!
have they fixed the fullscreen bug yet?
when you go fullscreen, any button selection at the bottom brings it back to normal. i hate that. i want fullscreen permanent no matter what i do unless i change it in the settings. |

Re: Iris 1.1.8 OUT!
installed it, tried it out. works descent but once again its much slower than opera mobile. 40 seconds to load forum.ppcgeeks.com/ Opera takes under 20 seconds. same location. Unless I need to tweak the settings. Plus opera allows you to scroll while its still loading. Iris is very clear resolution wise so that is a big plus.

Re: Iris 1.1.8 OUT!
Greetings. Ive been using iris for a while now, and find it to be a very nice browser. I cant believe i never noticed noticed this before, iris is using 80mb of ram. I started with 127mb and after a few pages with iris, i just saw my free program memory is now at 47mb. Is this happening to anyone else? If this is normal for iris, i cant imagine it would be usable on the mogul. 80mb of ram used on 3 web pages? Something doesnt seem right about that.

Flash 9.0 plugin for Iris Browser. Extract to \Program Files\Iris Browser\Plugins\ and restart your browser. Flash will now work properly in Iris. This file is also archived on my 4shared if you need it. |
Re: Iris 1.1.8 OUT!
The only flash plugin i have installed is flashlite 3.1 and youtube.com works fine for me using 1.1.8.
|
Re: Iris 1.1.8 OUT!
Flash Lite does the same thing as manually copying the plugin to the proper directory. The plugin I posted will work for any browser that uses Netscape style plugins. (Opera, SkyFire, Fennec, etc).

OMG!WTF!I cant believe its not butter! They took away the water ripple animation when you click on links. Thats terrible! That was one of my fav things about iris. :(

Re: Iris 1.1.8 OUT!
It was one of the things I hated the most, so I'm actually glad they removed it. :P
It seems that the Opera Mobile still renders pages faster though, so I'm sticking to that for now. |
Re: Iris 1.1.8 OUT!
well. im going back to 1.8 for the ripple effect. sad inded. I blame obama. Anyways, whats the trick to make native youtube to work? Am I missing a plugin? I used to run a custom rom and all the flash vids worked on all sites. Now I am back to stock and loving it but non of the flash sites work.

Re: Iris 1.1.8 OUT!
Try installing one of the many Flash Lite cabs floating around... One of them should do the trick. p:

For flash, try this. Unzip, and place file in program files/iris/plugins. Worked for me :)

Re: Iris 1.1.8 OUT!
I think Iris knows how to use the plugin if it's cooked in. Flash should work in my alRom as well.
|
Re: Iris 1.1.8 OUT!
Weird. Im running the 6.5 copper rom on a sprint touch pro. Yesterday when i first updated iris, i couldnt get any vids to work. I then put that file into plugins, restarted my phone, and videos started working. Sorry guys, i thought that file i posted, was the right thing.

Re: Iris 1.1.8 OUT!
Weird, flash worked fine for me in v1.1.8 and now it doesn't work with 1.1.9... wtf. And where the hell is the ripple effect? Boo to them for not adding the option to turn it back on.
