How many threads do we need on this freaking topic. Buy a digital and move along. I own several.... Sorry to be harsh but its a bit lame IMO. Besides who wants their product to stick to the greasy finger print residues...

I doubt this things could measure accurately measure 10 grams..... (or 5 for that matter).

I still don't see it. Placing anything on the phone won't allow the "gyro" to sense any change as far as I can tell. This would only work if you actually used the phone as a real balance scale, which would necessitate fairly precise placement of a pencil or something underneath as a fulcrum, right? It might also require accurate reference weights. Under this theory, my pager can also be used as a balance scale.

Besides, the Touch Pro doesn't contain any actual gyros, does it? Aren't the position sensors accelerometers?

Exactly (although i gotta admit this would be an easier task on the i, better balanced )

have you looked at the calibrator or simple level tool? something to do with magnetic fields, something, something gravity.
a gyro require constant spinning and a good rpm to density ratio.
