Opera Mobile 9.7 out Monday !? *Edit* Download here!

Installed both the 9.7 and widgets... I still think 9.7 has a few bugs to be worked out but is great for a beta!!

Does any one know about the widgets? I know you need 9.7 installed to actually run the widgets however if I go to add them their are like only 5 I can download. However, if I open up the widgets url with 9.5 it has tons of widgets but I cannot download them and use them??

Also widget size is very poor for VGA

I love it so far.

For those of you unable to get opera to load regular versions of sites, dont use the about:config method..its buggy..sometimes Opera won't save it.

Just edit the opera.ini in porgram files/opera instead

under heading:
[User Prefs]

You should have this line:
Custom User-Agent=Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT)

Under
[User Agent]

You should have this line:

Spoof UserAgent ID=2


That worked for me, myspace, yahoo, cnn etc all load regular versions now

I didn't have either of those and I added them in and it still isn't working. What am I doing wrong?

those updates aren't going to work if you are in turbo mode.

I can get them , they just look small like they are for qvga

I find the number of clicks it takes to launch a widget, I can just launch a bookmark instead.

I wasn't in turbo. I'm talking about when I went to edit that file, those items he was talking weren't even in that opera.ini file.

I am using energy rom and it seems pretty quick on g-sensor rotation animation to me. It seems really fluid if your not zoomed in when you rotate. Is there a way to test that?

Honestly I dont know of a test, but for me zoomed in or nt.. its like 6 to 9 frames a second. Very choppy. But I am comparing it to the way the iphone rotates with safari That thing is like 30 or more frames a second. Its like butter smooooooth. I hate to use the iphone as a example cuz iphone suks. lol But I love that fact that they did not mess around with the 3d drivers. It runs at full 3d potential speed. damn. i really hate htc. COme on TEGRA!
