Email client that can reply from a different address than received?

I swear I managed to do this once on the stock email client on my touch pro, but I've been unable to do it again . . . if I ever did it at all.

Situation is basically this:

- my email all comes to me through my Exchange server, whether it's to my work address or a personal one

- I have the personal email accounts set up on my phone, so I can draft new emails from any account

- my touch pro email client will only let me reply from the email address that "received" the email. So, basically, if I want to reply from an email address other than my work address, I have to cut & paste and go the other account.

In outlook on my desktop, I can select the account I'm sending from, but I see no similar option on the touch pro.

Do I need to buy another email client?

Thanks.

Wow....good question. I am in a similar situation, but I just didn't think anything like this was possible. I unfortunately don't have an answer for you, but hopefully someone on here can help because I'd love to see if this were possible as well.

Hi, as I recall;

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Settings]
"ReplyVia"="AccountName"

Not to sound like a complete noob, but how do you edit this (i.e. do you add a new string, new line...etc...)?

Re: Email client that can reply from a different address than received?

Thanks Da G. I tried adding that as a string value in the root settings folder (there are a couple subfolders). It doesn't seem to do anything. Not sure if adding a string value is what you meant. Appreciate your help, if you have any more information.

Toxic -- I use PHM Registry Editor, it's free and works. You can also do it in Total Commander, also free but not as easy as the now-ancient PHM.

yea, i'm with you Bobby...I have PHM, but I've never added a string value or really edited the registry. I've only used PHM to change a key value here or there for minor tweaks. Hopefully we'll get a hand on this.
