WMWiFirouter is awesome

I have this installed in my TouchPro & it seems to be working perfectly when I start it.

I have a 16 gig Ipod Touch that I like to use online as Safari is 2 million times better than any of the PPC browsers, but it doesn't want to connect for some reason.

I start WM router & it says it is connected & everything's cool. I start up the Touch & under WiFi settings it says "WMWifirouter" & says it connected.

The problem is, it then if I try to go online it says "Cannot open page, server stopped responding" & never connects. If I then switch the Touch to my home Linksys router, it connects immediately.

Re: WMwifi router problem

It might have something to do with the fact that wmwifirouter broadcasts as an adhoc network, so maybe the ipod touch doesn't play well with that. I have an ipod touch too so Im gonna try this out I'll let u know if i have any success

WMwifi router -new version posted

Version 1.30 posted today, this version is awesome.

I was having nightmare problems trying to get this program to work consistently in my TouchPro's (it always worked great in my Titan's) & they sent me a beta of this new version a few weeks ago. It worked perfectly.

Here is the cab (delete the zip extension), but you need a valid reg key for it.

Re: WMwifi router -new version posted

I know previous versions did not connect to the PS3, so can this version connect to it? Plus, what's the change log?

Change log--
This new version of WMWifiRouter contains a long list of bug-fixes, enhancements, compatibility patches, and even a few new features.

We've added or improved support for a large number of devices and improved Wi-Fi handling for several different chipsets. A lot of work has been done on compatibility with other software as well, particularly VPN software could in the past interfere with WMWifiRouter. There have also been a number of small changes to the user interface, such as a warning notice when you are roaming and information about whether or not certain configuration options are safe to change while routing.

If you are having any issues with WMWifiRouter, we advise you to upgrade to version 1.30.

Samsung Omnia and Epix

This update also contains a number of fixes specifically for the Samsung Omnia and Epix family of devices. We advise all our customers who are using one of these devices to upgrade to version 1.30 immediately. We would also like to point out that those of you that are using these devices in the United States are likely to be missing a Windows Mobile component called ICS, required for WMWifiRouter to operate. This component can be installed seperately - an ICSInstall cab file is available from various places on the internet.

This is a completely free update for all registered users!

Note that everyone who have received earlier builds of version 1.30 from customer support should also update to this new version.

There are several ways to get the latest version. You can simply download the latest trial version, and if you are a registered user, input your license code when the program asks for it.

Alternatively, you can login to My WMWifiRouter and download version 1.30 - http://my.wmwifirouter.com/.

AppToDate users can simply run AppToDate on their devices to automatically download and install the latest version.

I have the exact same issue I think.
The install on my verizon htc touch pro works and the ipod seems to connect but doesnt get an ip address. Im not sure if the ipod touch can do adhoc wifi connections.
