Free SMS Application For windows mobile

So here I am after scouring the forums unable to find an answer so I hope I won't become bastardized by the community for such a simple request, but after a lengthy search from Google and the PPC forums I’ve been unable to find an sms application for windows mobile.. What I am hoping to do is to be able to send a text message not as a mobile phone but much like how the desktop computer is able to send an sms through other gateways from my mobile phone... the Iphone has this feature through many many many apps so I know it’s doable... I've tried AIM for windows mobile but the whole thing is so freakishly slow on my touch diamond. Then I tried papaya, but that process didnt end to well either(not touch screen optimized). I just want a simple no nonsense sms application that I can use either through wifi or my mobile data, so please I ask for guidance and a push in the right direction. THANK YOU!

try Maybe SMS-Chat, its not free but its got a 15 day trial. its a great app though i dont know if itll send through wifi but its worth a shot. let me know if it does.

Im pretty sure sms chat is just an sms organizer.. not really a full fledge messenger so the name of the application is pretty misleading but I could be wrong...

I don't know exactly what your looking for but palringo works pretty well for most of my needs including facebook chat.

After the download your phone will ask you to instal the application, please follow the on-screen instructions. Once the applications is installed you can start it.

Please verify your identity typing in your phone number inlcuding the international prefix (i.e. +44XXXYYYZZZZ)

You will then receive a traditional SMS stating your password. Please read this SMS and remember the 4-digit-PIN-code. Restart the cellity freeSMS application and when asked to do so input the PIN-code. You are all set now.

Have you tried just using Windows Live Messenger? It has a free SMS feature. It allows you to send a text to any mobile using data only. I believe Yahoo Messenger has the same.

wow so cellity does work as advertised but! I dont want to jump through hoops just to send a text message. The web application was extreamly slow for my tastes and the mobile application ran from java o.O all the screens were kinda wonky and I had no access to my address book T.T very sad..................... I havent tried the others yet but I shall! thank you!

oh you mean from desktop to mobile? im looking for an application that can send a text from the internet from my phone to another phone but thank you!

Windows Live Messenger for mobile sends from your mobile to any other mobile number. I'm not talking the desktop version.
