Software list

So i've been making a list checking it twice...seeing which software has been naughty and nice. Im up to around 500 im getting links for the developers and threads if disscused here. Now this is simular to the great sticky by Pibe38 however a bit more extensive. It just gives ppl the ability to quickly check if they have the updated versions and easily find any obscure software they might want as well. Its my personal list but im just wondering what are everyone's thoughts are about it. I may post it anyway just to see if its good enough to be a sticky.

It depends on how it's managed. There have been others who have posted up a bunch of cabs for software, etc. Now on the outside that's a great idea. However, you need to ensure that there are links to discussions/thread, etc. so that if someone is having a problem with an application they can go to that specific thread and get some help. You don't want to have this thread cluttered up with 50 posts from people asking questions about 50 different programs.

Also, linking to current discussions/threads will ensure that if an unpdate has been released that it may be posted and discussed in that thread.

Does that all make sense?

off topic - excheeses signature is funny!!

on topic- it does sound like a good idea and i always like to see people contribute to an already GREAT site, but i have to agree with Coz. To many posts on the same programs already. Plus, I already have the thread instructions and internet address of the programs and files i use saved in a Word file in a folder so if i do need help or need to see if a program was updated i just copy and paste that link in the web bar.

Thanks guys all good comments...yeah Coz i understand. The point of it was to keep it updated on the reg also i do it already for my own benefit. Yeah i'll look into it more I dont want to do anything redundant. Also the post would merely be a gateway...kinda like the "you are here" directory in the mall. This will take a Ton of time to finish...however I would love some more imput. Thanks. lol this is gonna take me like a month...

So I need a little help this is part of the list I have so far...if you think of something I don't have feel free to post it. Just so I can get a feel for which apps I could be missing...granted I know a bunch are not here my brain only works so fast. Even tho i'm asking for help i'm not asking the same person to post 20 post with one app per post. Kinda think it over first then post whatever you come up with. If its only one...great. Yeah I do the same thing but i can tell from the posts i see here not very many other ppl do. Tho you give sound advice
